Recent updates to the ground floor commercial space in Allele Boston has a Jae’s Cafe TBD restaurant moving in, rather than a spin-off of Newbury Street’s Tapeo, as reported earlier in the summer (Tapeo Restaurant to Open in South Boston).
A restaurant in Allele, regardless of who gets the coveted spot, will make a great addition to what is quickly becoming the hottest area to call home in Boston.

What happened with Jae’s Cafe? Did the deal fall through (strike through)? Any idea if another restaurant will be moving in?

Yes, another restaurant will be moving in, however, a final decision on which one has not yet been made.

I was told today that Franklin Cafe is moving to the first floor.

I live in Court Square and that has been the word for a few weeks now. I hope it comes true, that is way better than Jae’s. However, I’ve come to realize that talk about these things and them coming are entirely different.
